Christoph Titz von Spiegel-Online hat eine neue Masche erfunden: Im Netz nach Satire-Seiten suchen und diese als wahr berichten.

Hier findet Titz Unmengen Material, was er schreiben kann. Eine weitere Recherche scheint nicht notwendig.

Beispiel: Kaufmann Niko Iordanov bot Arschbomben-Tipps zu 129,- Euro pro Anruf an. Das ganze mit einer 4-stelligen nicht existenten 0900-Nummer. Diese unbekannte Seite, die nur an Niko Iordanov Kumpels gerichtet war und eine sarkastische Parodie auf die teuren Mehrwertdienstenummern sein sollte griff Spiegel-Online Christoph Titz auf um eine Sensationsnachricht daraus zu machen.

Dass Christoph Titz dabei seine Recherchepflicht ignoriert interessiert den Spiegel nicht mehr, da dringend Themen gesucht werden. Das Nachrichtenblatt verkommt zu einem lachhaften Magazin und sollte bald in Mad-Spiegel umbenannt werden.

Und wenn Christoph Titz gar nicht mehr weiss, was er schreiben soll beschwert er sich, dass andere Magazine Satire nicht erkennen. Peinlicher kann man sich nicht verhalten. Grundschlechter Journalismus den Christoph Titz betreibt.

Ich habe die ganzen Geschichten mitgelesen und finde es tragisch, was Christoph Titz sich geleistet hat. Ich werde einen Zeichner beauftragen der Christoph Titz malt ... der Hintern wird eine Arschbombe sein mit dem Text, "Auf Niko Iordanovs Arschbombe reingefallen". Mit dem Spiegel kann er sich dann seinen Arsch abputzen.

Christoph Titz macht sich sogar noch lustig, dass jemand zu Unschuld strafrechtlich verfolgt wurde, auch ohne zu recherchieren. Christoph Titz nimmt sich der Meinung eines durchgeknallten Staatsanwalts an und zeigt, dass er gar nicht daran denkt zu recherchieren. Das ist schlampiger Journalismus, den der Spiegel bisher vermieden hat. Durch neues Personal wie Christoph Titz sinkt der Spiegel auf unterstes Niveau.

Um noch mehr Satire im Internet zu finden hat es Christoph Titz nicht weit: Der Spiegel selbst berichtet, dass Neandertaler Sex mit modernen Menschen hatten. Hier weiss man nicht, ob die Bezeichnung Satire @ Spiegel nur zur Tarnung vorgeschoben ist, obwohl sich der Spiegel des Wahrheitsgehalts der Meldung sicher ist. Spiegel-Online fragt sogar in einer Umfrage, wer schon Sex mit Neandertalern hatte.

The screen shot on the right shows Cam Wizards main window. There are 4 buttons accross the top: Register online Takes you to the registration screen from where you can quicky complete online registration. Registering will give you the fully functional version of Cam Wizard with customer support. setup options Allows you to set up the application. Click here for more info. browse video Enables you to browse video that Cam Wizard has managed to capture. Click here for more info. shoot a video Starts a quick WMV movie shoot. Click here for more info.

   Using in full screen mode  

Cam Wizard can operate in full screen mode no problem, just click the window maximize button on the application title bar as shown in the graphic on the right. This is a great feature if you want to take a closer look at any detected activity. This windows full screen feature is not present on many competing webcam security applications.

 > The Setup  

This brings up the tabbed setup dialog. There are different tabbed panes within the setup screen as described below. After you've made changes in the setup screen, you should apply them using the "OK" button. Pressing the "Cancel" button will cause Cam Wizard to revert to the settings that it had before you entered the setup screen. There are two buttons at the bottom left of the setup screen, namely "online help" which gives one click access to this help web-page and "get new version" which checks online for a newer version of Cam Wizard, if a newer version is found then you are prompted to download it and install it.

   Setup H/W Devices  

The screen shot on the right shows the video setup window. Simply "select the video device to use" by opening up the drop down list box. The "Overlay title text" will appear at the top of the video image that Cam Wizard generates. This can be any text of your choice. The "Overlay opacity" can be adjusted by clicking the arrows next to the number. Simply "select the audio device to use" by opening up the drop down list box.

   Setup Motion Detection    

The screen shot on the right shows the motion detection setup window. "Motion Check FPS" This specifies the rate at which motion is checked for by Cam Wizard. Faster FPS requires more CPU power. "Sensitivity" Tweak this until Cam Wizard responds to movement with your camera setup. "Audio Volume" Sliding the slider all the way to the left will disable the audio alarm. The user is able to specify a region in which to check for motion. The green selection rectangle shown above can be manipulated by dragging the corner handles with the left mouse button.

   Setup Video Capture    

The screen shot on the right shows the video capture setup window. "Minimum capture length" specifies the shortest time that a captured video can be. "Maximum capture length" specifies the longest time that a captured video can be. If motion is still detected after this time then another movie file is started right away whilst the previous movie gets archived/emailed as necessary. Cam Wizard can employ various encoder profiles to create the WMV files, below you will see a table containing information about all the encoders available:

   Email Setup  

The screen shot on the right shows the email setup screen. To enable EMail sending tick the "Send Email after every capture" box. You can send the captured WMV movie as an attachment, and/or you can send the first frame of capture as a JPEG attachment. Just tick the "Add Atachments" boxes as required. Now fill out the other fields as shown below: " SMTP email server" This field is very important and you need to fill this out depending on which ISP you use for your internet connection, if you've always used hotmail then you may not be familiar with the term SMTP, but you more than likely will have an SMTP server that you can use. There follows a list of some common ISPs and their associated SMTP server, so if you were with the ISP:Freeserve you would need to type "smtp.freeserve.co.uk" into the box.

If you're sure that you've entered your correct SMTP server address and you still can't get Cam Wizard to send automatic emails then it could be down to the following problems: <>]Connection: Are you sure your computer is online, is it able to surf the internet using a regular browser. <>]Firewall: You must let Cam Wizard have access to the internet in order to send email. <>]Spam filter: If you've setup the email correctly and you know you've got the SMTP address correct and your Cam Wizard emails aren't getting through to the destination email address then the chances are that a spam filter is throwing your Cam Wizard emails away. SOLUTION: Try entering some text into the custom body text box. Copy and paste a good page of text out of a real email. Also you may want to try leaving the return to email address blank. <>]Your ISPs SMTP relay may be rejecting your Cam Wizard emails: We are hosting a freeware SMTP server called FreeSMTP which acts like a SMTP server on your PC so you don'r need to rely on your ISPs SMTP server. Here's how to use FreeSMTP with Cam Wizard: Download FreeSMTP by clicking here . Install it on your PC and run it. Keep it running for the entire period of time that you wish to use Cam Wizard for. In the "SMTP server name" box in Cam Wizards email setup screen enter "localhost" . Now anytime Cam Wizard sends an email it will be passed to the FreeSMTP application which will perform the function of an SMTP server and send the email over the internet. Here's a google search to help you look for more local SMTP servers. FTP client setup If you've got web space then you've more than likely got an FTP login. If you're not sure ask your web space provider for "FTP login details" Cam Wizard includes a robust FTP upload client. This enables you to upload JPEGs onto a remote web server. You can set Cam Wizard to upload the JPEGs when motion is detected or to upload constantly every X seconds, like a standard live feed cam. The "Folder to use as captured image cache" is where the captured JPG is cached before FTP uploading to your server. This folder is also the folder that the built in HTTP server will serve the file called index.htm from. The screen shot on the right shows the FTP WebCam setup screen. You can specify (optionaly) a "sub folder" within your FTP server account space in which to upload your files to. To use as a webcam that will constantly push images onto your server just tick the "Upload always" box. Checking the "Keep timestamped JPG archive" box will cause all saved images to be kept and timestamped on your remote FTP server. We have also included an option to "Upload any new WMV movies" to your FTP server. They are named with the same timestamped name that an movie shoot produces. NOTE: There is a small window of time that the live JPG on the remote server cannot be read by a browser. Instead of seeing the cam picture you may see a red cross no image. This is due to the file being operated on by the Cam Wizard FTP client. An F5 browser refresh will more than likely cure it. HTTP server setup To use as a standard webcam broadcasting device you should make sure the "Capture always" box is ticked. After enabling the HTTP server by ticking the box, you are given a "permanent cam URL" This permanent cam URL can be used to view your webcam from anywhere in the world, simply by typing your permanent URL into any internet browser you will be instantly shown a live feed of your cam. The frame rate of the live video feed is adjusted by means of the "1/10th seconds between captures" control. A setting of 5 will yield the maximum browser FPS of 2 frames per second. Permanent cam URL Cam wizard incorporates a permanent URL generator, this means that your Cam Wizard web cam will have one URL, it doesn't matter if you power your system down and then have your PC reconnect to the internet, even though your PC will probably then have a different IP address, your static URL will still work, magic! Your permanent URL is always bound to your copy of cam wizard. Email your permanent URL to a friend or relative and they can simply click on the link as it appears in an email, they will then instantly see your live webcam in their browser, they won't need to install any software or download any movies, amazing and so easy to use! Using your Usernumber and Password If you want to use the login screen and use your username and password then simply use this URL: www.cwzd.com/cam.cgi and enter your user-number and password at the login screen. NOTE: The HTTP server function is only available to CAM<>] i.e. the instance of cam wizard started by the program icon "Cam Wizard <>]" in your windows start menu. This is because your PC can only run one web server at a time. If you want to view several cams by remote viewing in a web browser then this can still be done, simply start up all the cams you want to broadcast and make sure you enable the HTTP server in cam 1. Troubleshooting: When operating correctly the HTTP icon turns green. Are you sat behind a router or are you within a LAN? If so then you won't be able to use the HTTP web server option. You can still remote view by using the FTP option though. Do you have anothother firewall, apart from standard WinXP firewall, e.g. are you running norton, zonealarm etc. If so then try disabling it temporarily, if that fixes it then you need to configure the firewall such that Cam Wizard is allowed to listen for an incoming IP connection on port 80 . TIP1: To conserve your CPU power when you're just using Cam Wizard to broadcast live feed/s we suggest turning the motion detect FPS to 2 and then disabling the motion detection. Turn the above settings down on all the cams, this will really help reduce your CPU load. TIP2: If you want to serve a customised camera page then feel free to edit the "index.htm" file in the program folder for cam<>], located at the path specified in "Folder to use as captured image cache" . We suggest using an HTML editor like DreamWeaver to edit the "index.htm" file that we supply to you. Make sure you don't damage the javascript, you may want to copy the file first before you start editing. Shoot a quick video The user should take these steps to shoot a quick timestamped video: Line up your shot using the video window to see what you're doing, much like you would a regular still camera In Cam Wizards main window press the "shoot a video" button, this will cause the movie to start recording into a WMV file. The WMV file will be named "SHOOT_timesatamp.wmv" and it will appear in the "Browse Video" folder. Press the "stop shooting" button after you have filmed the desired action shot. TOP TIP: Wan't to quickly email a video shoot to a friend? Then just shoot a quick movie as described above, then right click the video in the video browser and select the menu item: "Send to > Mail recipient". Browse captured videos The screen shot on the right shows the windows explorer window that opens when the user clicks the "browse captured video" button. The videos are all in WMV format and will play just fine with Windows Media Player. Many other security cam software solutions require special software to view the captured movies, Cam Wizard uses a standard highly compressed windows format (.WMV) so you can watch it on any windows computer. The status text and icons The status icons give at a glance info on the status of Cam Wizard: Status Text: The status text can read as follows: "motion detection active in X" Cam Wizard will be on guard looking for motion as soon as X reaches zero. "motion detection is " Cam Wizard is active and 'on guard' looking for motion in the scene. "capturing video frames" Cam Wizard has detected motion and is capturing video. motion detection icon: Clicking this icon will enable/disable the motion detection

    The video capture function has been disabled in the capture setup screen.   Any recorded movies will not get archived to disk.  
    The video capture function is enabled and is currently awaiting any motion to be detected.  
 Cam Wizard has seen some motion and is recording video. The video will be archived and emailed as necessary.   
EMail icon: 

Clicking this icon will opens the email setup window

    Email is disabled, you can enable it in the email setup screen  
    The EMail function is enabled after any motion is detected and video recording has finished, the movie clip will be emailed to the email address specified in the email setup screen.  
 The EMailing engine is busy sending EMail/s with attached WMV movies and/or JPEG stills.   

FTP upload icon: Clicking this icon will open the FTP client setup screen.

    FTP is disabled, enable it by setting the tick box in the FTP client setup screen.  
    FTP is enabled but it is still trying to log in, if this icon persists for over 1 minute then there is a problem with the FTP settings or the remote FTP server is not available.  
    FTP is enabled and Cam Wizards client engine has succesfully logged into the remote server.  
   An FTP image is currently being uploaded to the remote FTP server.   

HTTP Server icon: Clicking this icon will open the HTTP server setup screen.

    The HTTP server is disabled.  
    The HTTP server is enabled but it is not operating correctly or it is unable to log into the LedSet dynamic IP server.  
    The HTTP server is enabled and it is online and operating correctly. To view your cam webpage press the test button " ? " in the HTTP server setup screen.    
   Running a multi cam system:  

If you have 2, 3 or 4 webcams, then you can have 2, 3 or 4 instances of Cam Wizard running at the same time on your PC, each instance can be configured to use the relevant video source in the video setup screen. If you look in the start menu for cam wizard as shown on the right, you will notice program shortcuts for 3 different cams. This method for multi cam use gives you great flexibility as you can configure each of the instances of Cam Wizard to archive to different folders, email to different addresses, etc. The screenshot on the right shows three instances of Cam Wizard running on the desktop. TOP TIP: If you want Cam Wizard to start up automatically when your system boots then copy the Cam Wizard <>] shortcut into your windows start up menu folder. You can even have it start in the system tray, if you leave camwizard in the tray mode before closing it down. The tray icons: Every instance of cam wizard that you have running will have a small numbered tray icon as shown on the right. To minimize Cam Wizard to the system tray simply click the to tray button shown in the green circle on the right. Right click a trray icon to access its menu.

   No video - troubleshooting:  

We have made Cam Wizard a try before you buy application so that you can make sure it is compatible with your system and camera before you purchase. If you're having problems getting Cam Wizard to work with your video device then these tips may help: Are you sure that your camera is plugged in and that no other application or service is using your webcam, if it is then Cam Wizard will not be able to pick up the camera. Does your camera work with AmCap ? If it won't work with amcap then it wont with CamWiz because the software uses the same type of capture engine. Some cheap unbranded DVR cards are not picked up by standard applications like Cam Wizard or AmCap. Keyboard shortcuts: The following keyboard shortcuts are available in versions 4.08 onwards. This is handy if you have home automation software and you want to have it control cam wizard based on external events from other applications/sensors. Maybe you want to enable/disable motion detection along with the arm signal for your house security system. The keys are not case sensitive, i.e. you can press 'q' or 'Q', it doesn't matter about caps lock. Motion detection: <>] = Disable motion detection
